USA Shooting Team to Attend SHOT Show

Members of the USA Shooting Team and staff are gearing up to attend one of the shooting industry’s most anticipated events of the year:  The 36th annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) at the Sands Expo and Convention Center Tuesday through Friday in Las Vegas, Nev.

SHOT Show, presented by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), will bring together more than 60,000 firearm industry professionals and provide a first look at new products and services used by target shooters, hunters, outdoorsmen and women and law enforcement professionals. The show also provides members of this multi-faceted industry an opportunity to network and attend educational seminars.

SHOT Show is an excellent opportunity for the Team to stay in touch with sponsors, key players in the shooting sports industry and greet their fans. Athletes in attendance at the 2014 SHOT Show will make daily appearances at the USA Shooting Team booth (L334) and include 2012 Olympic gold medalist Jamie Beyerle Gray (Lebanon, Pa.) and 2012 Olympian Sarah Scherer (Woburn, Mass.).

Gray won gold at the 2012 Olympic Games in the Women’s Three-Position Rifle event and finished fifth in Air Rifle. At the 2008 Games in Beijing, she placed fourth in Women’s 10m Air Rifle and fifth in Three-Position Rifle.

Scherer is the current National Champion in Women’s 10m Air Rifle and placed seventh in the event at the 2012 Olympic Games.

Other National Team athletes participating include Women’s Three-Position Rifle National Champion Sarah Beard (Danville, Ind.), Trap National Championship silver medalist Collin Wietfeldt (Hemlock, Mich.) and bronze medalist Jake Wallace (Castiac, Calif.).

Team members will also make appearances with sponsors at the following times and locations (subject to change):

  • Kimber (Booth 11762): Jan. 14 & 15 (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.  and 1:30-4:30 p.m.), Jan. 16 : (1:30-4:30 p.m.) and Jan. 17 (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
  • ELEY(Booth 13707f): TBD

The Shot Show is an important time for the USA Shooting Team to not only raise awareness of our efforts, but to also give thanks and recognition to the industry that helps the dreams of our athletes become reality., said Buddy DuVall, Executive Director of the USA Shooting Team Foundation.  “Our athletes and team enjoy the interactions that take place and welcome the opportunity to showcase the Olympic shooting sports to our biggest fans and supporters.”
