Mossberg Unveils Duck Commander Series

Industry-leading firearms manufacturer, O.F. Mossberg and Sons, Inc., announced a long-term agreement with the Robertson family and phenomenally-popular Duck Commander franchise in June 2013. Now Mossberg is pleased to announce the first offerings in their “Duck Commander” series of firearms which include 11 pump-action and autoloading shotguns, two rimfire rifles and new for 2014, a semi-auto rimfire pistol. Setting these firearms apart are features personally-selected by the Robertsons and not found on other Mossberg firearms.
The initial offerings all proudly display the “Duck Commander” logo; feature the newly-introduced, Realtree MAX-5 camouflage for maximum effectiveness; TRUGLO TRU-BEAD Dual Color fiber optic sight (shotguns only) optimized for low-light conditions; and each Duck Commander Series model comes with an American flag bandana, like the one worn by Willie Robertson.
Choose from waterfowl-dedicated pump-actions including models with the highly-innovative FLEX and Recoil Reduction Systems, and a Super Bantam 20-gauge version for younger hunters or smaller-stature adults; autoloading shotguns in 12 gauge or a lighter weight, low-recoiling 20-gauge; or two highly-desirable “Family. Faith. Ducks.” 12-gauge special editions (930 autoloader and 500 pump-action) that will be featured on TV with the Duck Commanders. Rounding out the series are two autoloading rimfire rifles chambered in 22LR, and a tactical-style, semi-auto 22LR pistol.

Capturing the essence of the Duck Commanders’ mantra, “Family. Faith. Ducks.,” two TV-worthy and duck blind-ready 12-gauge shotguns will headline the Mossberg Duck Commander Series: the 930 Autoloader Waterfowl (85132) and 500 Pump-action Waterfowl (52260) Special Editions. Distinctive, with their OD Green metal finishes and Realtree MAX-5 camo; upon closer look, the receivers bear a repeating duck pattern; the “Duck Commander” logo is engraved on the ejection port sides and “Family. Faith. Ducks.” emblazons the opposite side of the receivers; “Happy, Happy, Happy” encircles the mag cap; and an American flag bandana is included. 835 Ulti-Mag Duck Commander Shotguns
Renowned as the world’s first 12-gauge 3 ½-inch pump-action, these hard-hitting shotguns feature overbored (10-gauge bore dimensions) and ported barrels to deliver tight consistent patterns. Two fully-camouflaged versions are available for 2014: The 835 Ulti-Mag Waterfowl (62150) version has a 28-inch vent rib, ported barrel; TRU-BEAD fiber optic front sight; and ACCU-MAG choke tube set (Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder). The 835 Ulti-Mag Waterfowl Recoil Reduction System (62151) shotgun with patented Mathews Harmonic Damper technology and exclusive Mossberg Dual-Comb stock ensures a more comfortable fit and overall reduction of felt recoil, up to 20% less. 535 ATS Duck Commander Shotgun
This versatile, all-purpose 12-gauge 3 ½-inch shotgun melds the hard-hitting performance of the 835 Ulti-Mag with the traditional barrel profile of the 500 pump-action for lighter weight and improved balance without sacrificing downrange performance. The soft-angled Uni-Line receiver of the 535 marries perfectly with the stock for eye/rib alignment and quick target acquisition. This fully-camouflaged 535 ATS Waterfowl (45241) pump-action has a 28-inch vent rib, ported barrel; TRU-BEAD fiber optic front sight; and ACCU-MAG choke tube set (Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder). 500 Duck Commander Shotguns
With over 10 million in production, these 12-gauge 3-inch pump actions are recognized for their rugged dependability and time-proven design. Incorporating Mossberg’s most-innovative concept in shotgun customization, the TLS™ (Tool-less Locking System), the 500 FLEX (50130) shotgun features a series of three connectors that allow stocks, forends and recoil pads to be switched for fit or application. This versatile all-purpose platform combines matte OD Green metal finishes with Realtree Max-5 camouflaged stock and forend; 28-inch vent rib, ported barrel; TRU-BEAD fiber optic front sight; and ACCU-CHOKE tube set (Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder).
The 500 Waterfowl (52281) is fully camouflaged and has a 28-inch vent rib, ported barrel; TRU-BEAD fiber optic front sight; and ACCU-CHOKE tube set. Ideal for the younger hunter or small-statured adult, the 500 Super Bantam Waterfowl (54211) has the same features as the full-size Waterfowl version but is designed to fit those with a shorter length-of-pull. The specially-designed Super Bantam has a 12-inch LOP but includes an insert that can be added, extending the LOP by an extra inch. With its reliable dual gas-vent system, this versatile shotgun can smoothly-handle 2 ¾ or 3-inch loads. Its Uni-Line stock features specially-designed spacers for quick adjustment of the vertical angle of the stock for proper eye/rib alignment and greater comfort when shooting.
