Ducks Unlimited Continental Shoot in Las Vegas Nearing Capacity
Ducks Unlimited 01.24.14
The 2014 Ducks Unlimited Las Vegas Continental Shoot is filling up fast. The event is approaching the 400 shooter mark, and competitors should register soon as possible as it is expected to cap at 450. This annual event will take place Feb. 20-23, 2014, at the new Clark County Shooting Complex in North Las Vegas.
All events will be governed by National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) rules. The main event, as well as the preliminary and the 50-target Five Stand event, will run seven NSCA classes. Prizes will be provided by Browning and Fiocchi Ammunition. Shooters can use any NSCA-compliant shells to compete. There will be no non-registered 50-target fun shoot this year.
“Ducks Unlimited is pleased with the overwhelming response to the event,” said Jim Konkel, chair of DU’s National Shooting Committee. “The popularity of this shoot has increased over the years, and we’re glad that our new venue will allow more shooters to join in this competition.”
In the 100-target preliminary and the 200-target main event, payouts will include event champion, seven NSCA classes (M, AA, A, B, C, D and E) and one Hunter Lewis class for every 30 hunter entries.
Shooters are encouraged to register online at http://www.chshootresults.com/dudesert14.html.
