The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the Jan. 17 thefts of firearms from Cook’s Gun Store in D’Iberville and Highway 90 Pawn and Gun in Gautier. This potential reward matches a $5,000 reward offer by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

According to ATF and local police, more than 20 handguns were stolen in the two burglaries. ATF and area law enforcement are investigating the thefts and are seeking information from the public that would lead to the identification of those responsible.

The matching reward payment by NSSF will be granted only following payment of the initial ATF reward, which is up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crimes.

Any information regarding this crime should be reported to the ATF Gulfport Field Office at 228-575-6501 or the ATF hotline: 1-800-ATF-GUNS (1-800-283-4867).

The ATF hotline is toll-free, and all information will be treated confidentially. Callers will remain anonymous upon request.

For any questions about the assault or the theft of these firearms, please contact ATF at one of the numbers listed above.
