Scanlon & Watson Join Ish Monroe on Maxima Pro Team

Bassmaster Elite Series professional angler, Casey Scanlon, and FLW Tour Pro, James Watson, have joined Maxima USA Fishing Line’s rapidly expanding Pro-Team. The new members join four-time winning angler, Ish Monroe.
Scanlon has been putting the heat on his fellow competitive anglers since winning the very first tournament he fished as a teenager. Casey’s power fishing tactics and nonstop energy have opened a wide swath of opportunity on the Elite tour for the young angler. “It’s no surprise that we favor anglers that understand the subtle differences fishing line can make,” said Operations Manager, Zach Schoonover. “It was instantly clear to us that Casey already knows whether to fish 8lb Maxima Fluorocarbon or 8 lb. Maxima Ultragreen for the given conditions and technique. He’s young, smart and ambitious.” Casey will fish Maxima Lines exclusively on the tour and assist with seminars presentations and retail promotions.
James Watson is another fast-moving angler on the FLW Tour. So fast in fact, Watson moved from a 130th ranking in 2012 to 23rd last year. He looks to 2014 as his breakout opportunity. “Having great support from sponsors like Maxima Fishing Line is the final tool I’ve needed in my tackle box,” said Watson. “While my sponsorship with Maxima is now official, Maxima line has been on my reels since day one.”
Ish Monroe joined the Maxima Pro-Team in 2013 after fishing Maxima his entire career. Monroe is a 9-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier, 3-time cup qualifier, and 5-time TTBC qualifier. He’s exceeded the $2,000,000 career earning mark fishing Maxima Line. Prominent appearances and spirited competitiveness on the hit TV series, Major League Fishing, has raised his popularity even more.
Led by Ish Monroe, all of Maxima’s Pro-Team will have the entire arsenal of line types and weights to choose from, but Maxima’s new Braid 8 will be getting the majority of reel time.
