Liberty Ammunition, global leader in high performance, lead-free ammunition for military, law enforcement and civilian markets, announces the hiring of Russell Datson as the new Liberty Ammunition Director of Sales. Datson will assume responsibility for all commercial and retail sales in the US, reporting directly to Matthew Phillips, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Liberty Ammunition.
Prior to joining Liberty, Datson was a National Account Manager for MSC Industrial Supply. In this role, he managed an account portfolio that included multiple Fortune 100 companies and was responsible for developing National Account Programs for corporations that simplified and standardized their industrial supply procurement process. Prior to joining MSC, Datson was employed as an Account Manager – Distribution Sales with the Freedom Group for Remington Arms. During his six year tenure, Datson was actively involved in all channels of FGI’s consumer business and was awarded several sales achievement awards.
