Dave Starin, current Training Director of Gunsite Academy, drops by with details of their newest course offering – the Gunsite 250 Pistol Class with Crimson Trace. This class combines Gunsite’s comprehensive 5-day training class with additional laser training, including two nights of low-light shooting. Gunsite will be teaching the course twice this year. Joe Kalil is a County Contable in Boone County, KY, a firearms instructor, and the owner of a firearms training school. Kalil partnered with Boone County Sheriff Mike Helmig, and together they developed the POST Program (Protecting Our Students & Teachers). According to Kalil, the POST Program is “is designed specifically to mitigate the active shooter threat in our schools.” Next week, they’re hosting an intro meeting in Burlington, KY, and would like to make the program available nation-wide.
