Buck Knives announced that it has extended an endorsement agreement for an additional two years with Bassmaster Elite Anglers Bill Lowen and Brandon Palaniuk.
Aside from their obvious passion for fishing, both Lowen and Palaniuk are avid outdoorsmen with a focus on tradition. Traditions are important for Buck, a family-owned business since 1902. Buck first signed with Lowen in 2009, and recently began sponsoring Palaniuk.
“With great products and strong family traditions, Buck Knives is the one that keeps me in the woods and on the water,” said Bill Lowen. “To me, Buck is more than just a knife; it’s a way of life.”
Lowen recently received the Bassmaster & Classic qualifier ranking of 38. His career BASS tournament winnings at the beginning of the year were over $620,000. His career highlights for the Bassmaster Elite Series include 2012: 9th in point standings, 2011: 34th in point standings, 2010: 20th in point standings, and Bassmaster Classic qualifier in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Palaniuk recently took 1st place at the St. Lawrence Bassmaster Elite Series. His career highlights include 1st place Elite series 2012 on Bull Shoals, 2010 Federation Nation Champion, 4th place finish in 2011 Bassmaster Classic, 37th in Angler of the Year for 2011 Elite Season, and he has qualified for Bassmaster Classic three years in a row.
“When I think of Buck Knives, I think of a product that is made for more than its intended outdoor use, but also as a product that builds memories and stories made through family traditions that outlast and get passed down from generation to generation,” said Palaniuk. “Through time it becomes a conversation piece and connection between generations.”
“It is a pleasure to work with both Bill and Brandon,” said Bob George, Director of Sales and Marketing of Buck Knives. “They each represent everything we believe in when it comes to family and the importance of traditions.”
