Team SureFire’s Mike Voigt Wins at Florida Open Pistol Championship

SureFire LLC, manufacturer of high-end illumination tools and tactical products congratulates Team SureFire members, Mike Voigt and Maggie Reese on their outstanding performance at the Florida Open Pistol Tournament. Mike Voigt took top honors- winning the Men’s Open Senior Division- while Maggie placed 4th overall in the Ladies Production Class.
The annual Florida Open Pistol Shooting Tournament, held at the Universal Shooting Academy Range in Frostproof, Florida, took place February 14-16. Over 400 shooters negotiated 11 challenging, technical, yet fun stages, all designed by former and current champion shooters. “We chose to compete here at the Universal Shooting Academy as it is the future site of the 2014 IPSC World Championships,” said Maggie. “We knew that the Florida Open would be a great opportunity to prep for the World shoot. Mike’s first win of the season shows we’ve got a great year ahead of us!”
The 2014 IPSC World Championships begin Sunday, October 13 and conclude Sunday, October 19, with a week of competition that showcases the shooting skills of competitors from around the world. “Maggie has qualified for the women’s production team for the second time, and I have qualified for the Men’s Open Senior team. We are very excited for the start of the competition season,” said Mike Voigt.
