The Bass University Joins the GRDA in Their Conservation Initiative

The Grand River Dam Authority has become a sponsor of The Bass University’s bass fishing educational programs, which include The Bass University’s upcoming class in Tulsa, Oklahoma this weekend.  “We are very excited to partner with the Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA)” says Pete Gluszek, co-founder of The Bass University.   “In addition to providing low cost electricity to Oklahomans, GRDA is committed to caring for the Grand River system and meeting its mission as a good steward of the natural resources under its control. GRDA is able to achieve this through its ecosystems management initiatives, public outreach efforts and beneficial partnerships with others across the lake region. The Bass University is proud to partner with GRDA to help promote this initiative and protect all the outstanding fisheries of the Grand River.”

About Grand River Dam Authority:

The Grand River Dam Authority is an agency of the state of Oklahoma, created by the Oklahoma Legislature in 1935 to be a “conservation and reclamation district for the waters of the Grand River.” Headquartered in Vinita, Oklahoma, the Grand River Dam Authority is a non-appropriated state agency, fully funded by revenues from the sale of electricity and water instead of tax dollars.  GRDA generates, transmits and sells electricity to Oklahoma municipalities, electric cooperatives and industrial customers, as well as off-system customers across a four-state region.  GRDA manages over 70,000 surface acres of water in Northeast Oklahoma.
