Garmin Joins Texas Team Trail Presented by Cabela’s

The Texas Team Trail presented by Cabela’s will officially partner with Garmin for the 2014 season. The marine electronics company will showcase its entirely new line of sonar and GPS devices designed specifically for freshwater anglers. In addition, Garmin will offer a $1,000 “Grand Giveaway” bonus to any team that wins a TXTT event in 2014 fishing from a boat equipped with fix-mounted Garmin electronics.
“Garmin has some incredible technology for anglers and outdoorsmen,” said Mike Hastings, Tournament Director. “Combine that with the Garmin Grand Giveaway program and it’s easy to see why we’re so excited about them coming on board. This partnership will be a big hit with TXTT anglers.”

Garmin’s new 2014 marine lineup features its brand-new DownVü and SideVü scanning sonar, which provide a near picture quality representation of objects, structure and fish that are found both underneath the boat and also to the sides. These true-to-life images give an angler a better idea of the most ideal spots and underwater structure for fishing, and provide the clearest sonar picture of fish returns available on the market today.

The tournament circuit, designed exclusively for team competition, includes four qualifying events, plus a year-end championship, taking place on Toledo Bend, June 7-8.
