Safariland congratulates Team Safariland members, Michael Voigt for taking first place in the Men’s Open Senior Division and Maggie Reese for her fourth place finish in the Ladies Production division of the Florida Open Pistol Championship in Frostproof, Fla. hosted by the Universal Shooting Academy. Both Voigt and Reese competed using a Safariland ELS rig which allowed them to reconfigure their gear for each course of fire.
Reese used the 5199 Belt Clip Holster and Voigt used the 014 Open Competition Holster at this Florida USPSA handgun match with more than 400 competitors. This was the first time Team Safariland’s Voigt and Reese competed in this match and were thrilled to be able to practice at the future site of the 2014 IPSC World Championships, which both will be competing in later this year.
“It is great to see Team Safariland kick off the year with a win. Mike and Maggie are hard at work preparing for the IPSC World Championship and this was a great opportunity for them to practice on site,” said Team Captain and Vice President, Equipment Category Marketing, Scott Carnahan.
