Introducing the Leica Geovid HD-R

Hunt with the highest level of certainty no matter your terrain with the new Leica Geovid HD-R rangefinder binoculars.  The new Geovid HD-R boasts all of the great features of the Geovid HD, but with the added bonus of an innovative ballistics function, which delivers precise calculation of the ballistically-relevant distance (EHR = Equivalent Horizontal Range), particularly in the case of angle shots. This function provides you with a greater certainty of an ethically placed shot – both up and downhill.

The algorithm developed by Leica takes not only the linear distance and the angle into account, but also includes a ballistic curve, resulting in greater accuracy than the Rifleman’s Rule (cosine-function). Best of all, no previous knowledge of ballistics is required when using the EHR function. Just press the button and the display will appear. Pre-setting or pre-programming is not required.

Boasting quality construction and finish, the Leica Geovid HD-R 8X42 and 10×42 models are ergonomically designed for comfortable viewing and prolonged observation. Both models feature a wide field of view and are ideal for scanning broad terrain.

The 8×56 and 15×56 models are ideal for low-light conditions. They excel in gathering light and resolving power that ensures a clear and richly detailed view and a large exit pupil.

All Leica Geovid HD-R models perform well in various viewing situations. Their high contrast and edge-to-edge image sharpness provide a clear view of even the smallest details. The use of innovative concepts like High Definition (HD) optics guarantee an image free from color fringing and edge-to-edge brilliance and sharpness, even during poor visibility.

The LED display adjusts automatically to ambient lighting conditions showing the determined values with optimum brightness and clarity under any conditions.

Thanks to the Leica AquaDura coating on the exposed glass surfaces, dirt and water on the lenses roll away, improving viewing performance, particularly in rainy weather. The binoculars always provide optimum performance, even in adverse weather conditions and extremely humid environments.

The Leica Geovid HD-R’s user-friendly design makes use a breeze, even under the toughest viewing conditions. The die-cast aluminium chassis and the eyepieces are enclosed in impact-absorbing armouring to protect the binoculars against damage.
