Several of the pros of The Professional Sporting Clays Association (PSCA) had a strong showing at the first annual Nad Al Sheba Shooting Championship in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, hosted by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council.
The Nad Al Sheba Shooting Championship was held for the first time, February 28th-March 5th, with over 550 of the best shooters from countries around the world participating in the grand shooting event. The tournament claims the largest prize purse ever for a Shotgun shooting event. In 2014, prize money available was $735,000 with the men’s payouts down 50 places and the ladies down 20 places. In 2015, prize money will grow to $1,000,000 with an expected 1000 shooters participating.
The competition was vigorous through 4 days of shooting with PSCA pro Gebben Miles winning the tournament and a grand prize of $140,000 with a score of 178 out of 200. Ten other PSCA Professionals finished in the money including Anthony Matarese: 2nd place ($65,000) and Scott Robertson: 4th place ($25,000), Brad Kidd Jr.: 12th place ($5000), and Jon Kruger, Andy Duffy and Bill McGuire all tying for 14th ($5000). Congratulations to all of the PSCA pros participating in the competition. They will now be preparing for the first of four PSCA events being held April 5-6 at Able’s Gun Club in Huntsville, TX.
