Interest in archery and bowhunting is skyrocketing and listeners tuning into Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World radio show can learn how the Archery Trade Association is nurturing that excitement. Jay McAninch, president and CEO of the Archery Trade Association, will be featured on Bass Pro Shops hour-long radio show Saturday, March 15 at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time on RURAL RADIO’s SiriusXM channel 80.
McAninch will describe how websites such as Archery360 and Release Your Wild social media efforts are capitalizing on the enthusiasm young people have for archery and bowhunting.
Kip Adams, director of education and outreach for the Quality Deer Management Association, is also featured on Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. Adams will discuss how the recent North American Whitetail Summit has positioned QDMA to be the unifying voice of deer hunting. The four-day Summit, which was held at Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri’s Ozark Mountains, was attended by more than 200 people including representatives from the hunting industry, state wildlife agencies, leading institutes of deer research, conservation organizations, the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and deer hunters from the U.S. and Canada.
Each week, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World draws upon outdoor experts from across the country, including those within the Bass Pro Shops family. Keck, Bass Pro Shops’ director of conservation and a Redhead® pro hunter, and his guests provide listeners with the latest information about hunting, fishing and wildlife conservation.
