Taurus’ Jessie Duff Triumphs at 2014 Steel Challenge

Taurus, the global leader in revolver manufacturing, congratulates pro-shooter Jessie Duff on her recent wins in Ladies’ Rimfire, Limited and Steel Master at the 2014 Steel Challenge Nationals in Titusville, Florida.
The Steel Challenge Nationals marks the first match of the year for Jessie, and it’s one she always enjoy going to. Duff looked forward to this match because the RO’s do a great job, are always friendly, and inviting. She competes in three divisions at the Steel Nationals, Rimfire Optics, Limited and Open. These three divisions make her eligible for the Steel Master. The Steel Master title is the combined score of a rimfire division, and two centerfire divisions. This is a highly sought after title, due to the time, training and dedication it takes to prepare for the match. Jessie proves that hard work pays off by placing 1st in Ladies .22 Open, Ladies Limited, and earning her 8th consecutive Lady Steel Master title. Jessie shares her thoughts, “It’s very gratifying to earn the Lady Steel Master title, because of the hard work that goes into it. My practice time is now tripled, because I am training with three different guns. This title means so much to me, and is an honor to claim!”
Jessie competes with a Taurus 1911 platform for all three divisions. Her rimfire open gun is a .22 cal. top-end conversion kit, fitted to a Taurus 1911 and her Limited and Open guns are Taurus 1911s as well, with modifications made for the divisions. “My guns performed well through out the match, and they were definitely put to the test. With as many rounds as I shot in preparation, I have to know that my equipment will withstand what I put it through, and the PT1911 has always met the challenge!”
Jessie will compete in the 2014 Steel Challenge World Championships this June in St. George, UT, where she will also introduce her Teammate, Alex Larche, to the “Challenge”.
