Crimson Trace Fields 3-Gun Team

Crimson Trace, the shooting industry’s recognized leader and innovator in laser sighting systems and tactical lights, announces the formation and fielding of its sponsored competitive 3-Gun shooting team. Team Crimson Trace members include: Chuck Anderson, John Browning, Nick Atkinson and Brian Nelson. These competitors are recognized as being among the nation’s top 3-Gun competitors and will promote Crimson Trace and the company’s products at shooting events across America.

Those following the nation’s growing 3-Gun competitions will recognize many of the team members’ names. These shooters frequently travel the nation to compete, and they have collected many prestigious titles and prizes in past competitions. The team will compete in more than two dozen shooting competitions in 2014, including the 2014 3-Gun Nation Pro-Series.

Team leader Chuck Anderson is a full-time law enforcement officer in Oregon and has nearly two decades of competitive shooting experience. He is currently the Area 1 (NW) Director for the United States Practical Shooting Association and the Crimson Trace Midnight 3-Gun Invitational (M3GI) match director. Anderson frequently finishes in the top ten in 3-Gun shooting competitions across America.

Crimson Trace team member John Browning from Virginia is a decorated U.S. Marine and has served full-time in the Corps since 2005. Browning is a recognized USPSA Master Class competitor who won the semi-pro division in 2013.

Team member Brian Nelson is a junior competitor from St. George, Utah. He has been competitive shooting—and winning—for the past half dozen years and is rapidly moving up through the national rankings. This 16-year-old shooter holds a Master classification in USPSA and is the SASS 2013 Wild Bunch Overall World Champion. Nelson is also an active participant in the MGM Junior Shooting Camps held each year.

Team Member Nick Atkinson is from Texas and has 12 years of competitive shooting experience. He is a certified law enforcement firearms instructor and has finished in first and second places in numerous competitive shooting events.

Crimson Trace hosts the nation’s premier 3-Gun competition—the annual Crimson Trace Midnight 3-Gun Invitational that will be held in Oregon in August.
