Fun, Celebrities, Giveaways at Missouri Gander Mountain Grand Opening

People who love to explore the abundant natural wonders of Missouri will find a new kind of fun in the coming days.
The grand opening celebration for Fenton’s new Gander Mountain store will abound with celebrities, special demos and freebies. Special events and appearances are happening all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 10, 11, 12 & 13, to celebrate the nation’s largest retail network of outdoor specialty stores opening its first Missouri location.
“We’re excited to officially open our doors to the countless outdoor enthusiasts in the greater St. Louis area, and bring Gander Mountain’s thousands of products and great customer service to Missouri,” said Steve Uline, Executive Vice President of marketing for Gander Mountain. “We’ve put together a fun grand opening weekend that will fit nicely with our new neighbors’ passion for the outdoors and active living.”
The new 65,000-square-foot Gander Mountain store in Fenton is located at 751 Gravois Bluffs Blvd in Fenton, right off Hwy 30 and Hwy 141. The attractive exterior design and interior layout reflect Gander Mountain’s new store prototype featuring innovative interior elements, displays and fixtures.
Special events and giveaways include:
- Current and former St. Louis Cardinals personalities Mike Matheny, John Mabry, Red Schoendienst and Al Hrabosky will sign autographs on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Jacob and Troy Landry, stars of History’s hit TV show Swamp People, will appear Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Terry and Matt Drury, stars of Drury Outdoors, will appear Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
- Tim Sylvia, two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion, will appear Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Matt and Bill Busbice, owners of Wildgame Innovations and stars of the Wildgame Nations hunting series, will appear Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Kelly Chase, former NHL player and radio analyst for the St. Louis Blues, will appear Saturday from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Dean Rojas, elite Bassmaster Angler and Gander Mountain Pro-Staffer, will appear Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Kyle Wieter, host of Adrenaline Junkies on the Sportsman Channel, will appear Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Visitors can see products in action at the Remington Mobile Trailer and the Federal Interactive Trailer all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- The first 100 customers through the door at the Fenton location on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will receive a free $10 Gander Mountain gift card.
- The first 250 customers to make a purchase at the Fenton location on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will receive a free Gander Mountain gift.
- Customers can register for a chance to win a trip for two to the sold out CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN.
