The Beta/Purvines Race team is marching forward into the Summer months with impressive results spearheaded by Nick Burson, with two wins, a third and fourth place finishes in the AMA National Hare and Hound championship series. Burson leads the chase with 102 points.
Burson describes his season up to this point, “My season has been going really great this year. I have been able to win two of the four nationals so far along with multiple AMA district 37 races. It’s a long road ahead But I am looking forward to the remainder of the season. Purvines and Beta have provided me with what I feel is the best bike and TBT has my suspension dialed in as well. For sure I am looking for more wins this season.”
Justin Morrow is also having a stellar season with four top five finishes aboard his Beta 498 RR. Morrow started round one with a solid second place and followed up the next three rounds with consistent fourth place finishes. Morrow sits a solid third in the championship with 79 points.
Team owner Ron Purvines is very pleased with the team’s results thus far, “We went into this season with high expectations because it is our second year with Beta. Nick Burson is doing a great job as team captain leading by example. After earning a podium at Round one, he backed his finish up by winning the next two events. Justin Morrow is getting back into his groove after missing several rounds last season due to injury. He has put in solid rides showing what he is capable of and I am sure his overall win is coming very soon. Axel Pearson surprised all of us running second overall in Idaho and finishing inside the top five the next two events. Tallon Taylor has had some bad luck in Round three by getting lost and then breaking a couple bones. He is still in the hunt. My team manager Collin Woolsey has been working overtime to keep the bikes up front and to insure we have no mechanical issues. He has come into his own this season and knows the bikes inside and out. Asa team owner, I couldn’t be happier with our results and expect to keep our momentum so we can give Beta their first AMA National Hare and Hound Championship!”
Here is what Team Manager Collin Woolsey has to say, “I am extremely excited for Nick Burson and the entire team, all of the riders have been putting in a lot of work and to see it paying off is great. The entire team loves the Beta 498, 250, and the 300 RR’s, the bikes have been performing amazingly well. It has been a great start to the season for Purvines Racing, Beta & our long list of sponsors. We look forward to the next 5 weeks of intense racing & and expect to be in a great position for the multiple championships we are chasing going into the summer break.
Also putting in solid performances at the National level are Axel Pearson and Tallon Taylor. Pearson has finished the first three rounds inside the top five however bad luck struck at round four as a rock destroyed his radiator ending his day. Despite the DNF, he still sits eighth in points looking to climb back up the ladder in the remaining rounds. Taylor continues to improve his results aboard his Beta Big Bore 498. He finished round four in 14th place despite losing the course markings a few times due to the high winds.
