Crimson Trace Midnight 3-Gun Invitational Sponsors Growing

Crimson Trace, the recognized leading national brand of laser sighting systems and tactical lighting products for firearms, is again gaining recognition. This time the attention is for hosting the world’s largest nighttime 3-Gun competition—the 3rd Annual Midnight 3-Gun Invitational (M3GI). The list of sponsoring shooting industry manufacturers to be involved in the event is rapidly growing.

The list of 2014 M3GI sponsors includes: The National Shooting Sports Foundation, Optics Planet, Danner/LaCrosse, Smith & Wesson, Mossberg, Otis Technology, MGM Targets, Colt Competition, ERGO Grip, Leupold, and Warne Scope Mounts. Other sponsors are: Carbon Arms, Tactical Tailor, Springer Precision, Sur-Tac, X Products, X-Rail, Brownell’s and Leatherman. These event sponsors are providing a wide range of support for the program and the many shooters participating.

The unique night shooting competition will again be held in central Oregon beginning on August 12th and concluding on August 17th. The eyes of the nation’s shooting industry will be focused on the event sponsors, the competitors, the gear they’ll be using—and the scores. Scheduled competitors include military marksmen, law enforcement officers, husband-wife teams, manufacturer sponsored shooters, and 3-Gun enthusiasts. More than 200 shooters will compete during a four-night span.

The M3GI will be covered by more than 50 shooting sports media members, including TV crews and radio show hosts, plus gun industry bloggers, who will be on site and engaged in product testing, shooting skills improvement courses and reporting on the action. Some of the media will also be competing for the top prize—$10,000.

Many of the nation’s top recognized 3-Gun competitors will be on site and shooting their way through the stages that include steel silhouettes and cardboard cut-outs—and others. All of the competition is conducted in total darkness and shooters must stay up all night to shoot/work/run their way through the course that includes a multi-room dark house. Just before the sun rises, the competition is halted.
