Larson Escape Model to Expand

Larson Boat Group’s (LBG) Larson Escape line of pontoons to expand for the 2015 model year.

“With the current success of the Larson Escape TTT (Tapered Tube Technology) portfolio of pontoons and the continued market growth, we wanted to capture that opportunity with the introduction of the Escape Heritage series of pontoons,” said Rob Parmentier, LBG President & CEO. “Our Heritage series is targeting the mid-priced pontoon market segment whereas our TTT series is targeted more at the premium priced pontoon market.” “We now have a complete pontoon product offering for our dealers and the boat buyers,” stated Parmentier

“For the 2015 model year, the Larson Escape series will grow by 100% with the addition of six brand new designed, engineered and manufactured pontoon boats,” added Ron Sahr, LBG Director of Engineering. Sahr, went on to say, “the Heritage series will be built on traditional round-tube sponsons, but offering the consumer what they have come to expect with the Larson Escape pontoon line-up – style, design, performance and space.”

The Larson Escape Heritage series will offer boats configured in both twin and triple tube configurations, with and without fishing packages, 20 to 24-feet in length complete with outboard power from Mercury, BRP / Evinrude, Suzuki, Yamaha and new for 2015 Honda Marine ranging from 40 to 250-horsepower. The distinctive shaped forward corner pieces, the curved safety fencing, and the use of the smooth outer fence for a sleek looking style as compared to often seen exterior extrusion outside the fence are styling cues of the Escape TTT carrying over to the Heritage series. The Escape Heritage series will revolutionize the “traditional” pontoon segment just as the Escape TTT changed the definition of a pontoon boat’s sponson running surface.

The Escape Heritage series will be shown to dealers this August at the LBG dealer meeting in San Diego and available in dealerships, late August. Those attending the 2014 Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener May 9-11, 2014 on Gull Lake in Nisswa, MN will have an opportunity to get a sneak peak of the first Escape Heritage.
