Inaugural KeepAmericaFishing Day a Success

On the water photos, posts and tweets can be viewed on KeepAmericaFishing.org

The first-ever KeepAmericaFishing Day was a success with more than 3,000 anglers and their families and friends participating. A number of these anglers shared their “on the water” experiences by posting photos on the KeepAmericaFishing Day photo wall, on the map and tweeting about the day on @kaf_fishing.

“We hope that everyone had a fun and productive day fishing,” said American Sportfishing Association Vice President Gordon Robertson. “Our photo wall certainly proved that many of the anglers who participated had a great day of fishing. In fact, due to heavy traffic, the mobile version of the website experienced some difficulties which probably impacted our participation numbers. However we thank everyone who spent the day fishing in support of KeepAmericaFishing Day.”

Anglers who were not able to access the website but would like to see where other people were fishing can check out the final map at www.KeepAmericaFishing.org/fishing-day.

Anglers who logged-in and posted photos were entered into the KeepAmericaFishing Day contest and will shortly be notified of their prizes. To view the photos from KeepAmericaFishing Day go to http://keepamericafishing.org/photos-from-the-map/.
