Prescribed Burning with Grant Woods
Dr. Grant Woods, a wildlife biologist, is a well known whitetail guru however is expertise doesn’t end there. This week he’ll share his thoughts and tips on habitat management. He’ll discuss prescribed burns and why they are a highly effective management tool and how the benefits of burns don’t just stop with the land you are managing but how they can also be effective at killing off ticks and other bothersome insects.
Habitat Improvement for Pheasants and Quail
Pheasants Forever has long been committed to the restoration and improvement of wildlife habitat with a special focus on pheasants and quail. This week Bob St. Pierre with Pheasants Forever will join Jim and Trav about their efforts to improve habitat, the peak of the pheasant hatch across the country, CRP reopening across the nation and more! David Allen – Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation
David Allen is the President and CEO of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, an organization with a long running commitment to habitat improvement across the country. David Allen discusses the benefits that RMEF’s habitat projects have on elk and other wildlife that share the terrain. He also details how they are working to open up public land by buying land, making trails and creating better access.
Kandi Kisky – Planting the Right Food Plot Crops
Don and Kandi Kisky, co-hosts of “Whitetail Freaks” on Outdoor Channel are two of the most renowned hunters and outdoor personalities in the whitetail world. When they’re not in a treestand, you can find them planting food plots, shed hunting, checking trail cams and more.
