Safariland congratulates Team Safariland members Mike Voigt and Maggie Reese for their sound performance at the MGM Ironman 3 Gun Tournament June 8 – 14 in Parma, Idaho. Both using their ELS (Equipment Locking System) Competition Belt System in the Open Division, Voigt took the High Senior title and second place overall, while Maggie was able to clench High Ladies. This match is one of the toughest and most physically challenging tournaments with each stage requiring more than 100 rounds and the use of three guns, if not four.
With 10 creative and challenging stages during the MGM Ironman 3 Gun Tournament, Voigt and Reese relied on their ELS rig to allow for easy transitions for each course of fire. “We used everything in our Safariland arsenal to help us win the match. Our gear was put through the ultimate test but it never let us down. We know our Safariland equipment will stand up to any challenge,” stated Reese.
In addition to allowing shooters to compete for the title, the Ironman 3 Gun Match provided a wonderful training ground for military and law enforcement competitors who tested out the latest state of the art gear. “Our team members have always worked closely with our Research and Development team to develop products that are most effective for Competition, LE and the military. This match was one of the best for product testing,” stated Scott Carnahan, Vice President Equipment Marketing.
The Safariland ELS belt system is versatile and is changing the way competitive shooters rig up for their competitions. The 3-Gun Open Class rig makes it easy to change out pouches and holsters to meet the demands of each stage.
