Doug Koenig Championship Season Presents One Shot Osceola Turkeys

After patterning their TC Encore Pro Hunter shotguns at a range in Ocala, Florida, Doug joins Smith & Wesson Executives Mario Pasantes and Jan Mladek on their first Osceola hunt. While sitting in their blind, deep in the Palmetto flatwoods and cypress swamps, a curious immature eagle swoops in on the decoy set up as the calling and parading of Tom’s begin.
It’s not long before an iridescent bronze sheen breasted Osceola answers Mario’s call and a 10” bearded Tom drops from the accuracy of Hornady’s new Heavy Magnum Turkey load. Join Doug as the hunting party learns how to camouflage a blind using palm fronds and see what unexpected creature makes a short lived appearance in the low pressured swampland of Ocala.
Koenig said “There’s no doubt, Mario and Jan thoroughly enjoyed getting out of the office; I think they’ll be back for another Osceola Turkey or maybe set out for a Grand Slam adventure.”
