Wild West Locale, Public Service Initiatives Highlight Wingshooting USA’s First Week of New Season
Scott Linden 07.14.14
A taste of the Wild West this week on Scott Linden’s Wingshooting USA TV, as the team visits Oregon’s Ruggs Ranch. A team of draft horses and a wagon full of hunters venture back in time in some of the wildest country this side of the Pecos. Huns, chukars, and even a European-style pheasant shoot are on tap at Ruggs’ tent camp on Rock Creek.
In other Wingshooting USA news, three initiatives launched with the show’s sixth-season debut last week: a record number of entries in the “Fiocchi Friends” photo contest; over a thousand votes in the “TruckVault Cares … presented by Paw Print Genetics” fundraising initiative, and hundreds of viewers suggestions for vehicle customization and gear recommendations in the “Cabela’s Awesome Upland Road Trip … destination Kansas” sweepstakes.
The new Wingshooting USA season airs on seven television networks including Discovery’s Destination America and Pursuit Channel. The most watched bird hunting show in the U.S., it is the official TV series of the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Additional sponsors include Paw Print Genetics, Cabela’s, Happy Jack Inc., Filson, Kansas Dept. of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism, Camp Chef, TruckVault, Fiocchi ammunition, South Dakota Tourism, EverGreen RV Manufacturing, and Ugly Dog Hunting Co. The show’s conservation partner is Quail Forever. More information: www.scottlindenoutdoors.com.
