Bullet Weights continues to expand its line of products for bass anglers with new tungsten drop shot sinkers. They will be featured in the company’s ICAST show booth (#1449) July 16-18 at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida.
“Tungsten sinkers are preferred in certain fishing applications by many avid bass anglers, and drop shotting has become established as an effective bass fishing technique,” Bullet Weights President Joe Crumrine said. “Consequently, the demand for tungsten drop shot weights has been building so we have responded by adding them to our 2015 product line.”
Bullet Weights introduced its first tungsten sinkers in 2006, providing a more compact, denser option to lead or other materials. Many professional anglers utilize tungsten sinkers when fishing in heavily matted areas because the small, dense weights can more easily penetrate thick cover and reduce hang-ups. This can be a particular advantage when drop shotting, where the sinker is attached to the end of the fishing line with the hook positioned above at varying lengths in an effort to horizontally suspend the bait.
The new tungsten drop shot sinkers come in round or finesse (cylindrical) shapes, and in the following sizes: 1/8 ounce, 3/16 ounce, 1/4 ounce, 3/8 ounce and 1/2 ounce. Manufacturer’s suggested retail prices range from $6 to $7 per pack.
