Warm Springs Productions announced today their hit series, American River Renegades, will be airing a twelve hour marathon on Animal Planet, Monday August 4th starting at 5pm Eastern Time.
“We have received such an excellent response from viewers about our show and these characters,” said Marc Pierce, Managing Partner of Warm Springs Productions. “These individuals have a very interesting livelihood in which they interact daily with the lifeblood of our nation, the rivers, and face all of the challenges that comes with dealing with these powerful bodies of water. This marathon will give viewers a great opportunity to catch up on episodes they missed or to enjoy the whole season again.”
American River Renegades follows the lives of four modern day river men from different parts of the country. These men battle the ebb and flow of some of America’s most dangerous rivers and tributaries. Their daily activities include interactions with powerful floods and the nuisances of wild animals such as wild boars, alligators, and venomous snakes.
The characters include: Kip Benoit, and his lifelong friend Big Ward, who use their Cajun ingenuity in the Louisiana backwaters to catch everything that hops, flies, bites or crawls in order to survive; Ricky Jayroe, 5th generation river man who makes a living off of the Pee Dee river in South Carolina; Mike Valley, one of the last remaining commercial fishermen in the state of Wisconsin, who struggles to keep his family business afloat; and PJ Simon, 2nd chief of a remote Alaska tribe, uses traditional hunting and fishing techniques not only to provide for his family but an entire village as well.
“The viewer’s positive response to these episodes is a huge credit to our crew who worked so hard to put them together,” added Chris Richardson, President of Warm Springs Productions. “As a company in the shadow of the mountains of Montana, it’s great to be able to translate our passion for the outdoors to a broad platform like Animal Planet.”
