A few short weeks separate Matt Hughes, nine-time UFC Champion and host of Sportsman Channel’s Uncaged with Matt Hughes, from his upcoming hunt of a lifetime in Africa. To prepare, Hughes visits the FTW Ranch in Texas to take part in ‘Sportsman’s All-Weather All-Terrain Marksmanship’ (SAAM) training. Watch Hughes take his skills to the next level in this week’s episode of Uncaged with Matt Hughes exclusively on Sportsman Channel, Saturday at 9 a.m. ET.
Hughes is in “The Lone Star State” training for his big hunt. The interactive ‘SAAM’ training course brings participants, including Hughes, to the forefront of big game hunting. With an emphasis on ethical, one-shot hunts, Hughes puts his classroom knowledge to the test at the shooting range. The gloves come off when a familiar face and fellow outdoorsman, Larry Weishuhn, shows up for a shooting match.
“When you look at hunters, they are a lot like athletes,” said Hughes. “No matter what happens, or no matter how good I think I am, I can always get better.”
