Bohning Archery Releases New Ice Vane

The Bohning Company is pleased to announce its new Ice vane, a vane designed for outdoor target shooting with compound bows.

The Ice vane is combination of the 3” ImpulseTM profile & Blazer® material which provides a super low profile compiled with the durability of the well known Blazer®. The Ice vane is 3” in length with a profile height of 0.3”, & weighs 6.5 grains. This profile provides excellent aerodynamic stability which makes it ideal in windy conditions.

Recommendations for use of the Ice vane:

  1. The Ice vane is best fletched at a 1˚ offset.
  2. Best when used with small diameter target arrow shafts.
  3. For best adhesion results, Bohning recommends using Blazer Bond glue.
  4. Bohning Tower jig is recommended for the most accurate, precise, & efficient fletching

This low profile, highly durable vane is now being produced & available to customers world wide. MSRP for a 36 pack is $14. Available in 10 colors. For more information & to order visit www.bohning.com.

The Ice vane can be found on the arrows of 3 world class archers: Dominique Genet, Pierre-Julien Deloche & Sébastien Peineau, as they aim their sights on gold in World Cup Competition. All 3 archers unanimously agreed that the Ice vane wins!

The Bohning Company is one of the cornerstones in the foundation of today's archery industry. Our history goes back over 64 years to 1946 when Rollin Bohning, an avid archer and research chemist, became dissatisfied with the cements available to bond broadheads to hunting shafts. This led to the development of Ferr-L-Tite. This adhesive was a liquid in the early days and has undergone several changes over the years but still remains the industry standard for adhering hardware to wood and aluminum shafts - over 50 years later. Throughout the late 40's and early 50's, as aluminum shafts were gaining popularity, Rollin Bohning continued developing successful solutions for archers such as Doug Easton and Fred bear, who he had become friends with. This friendship gave birth to Fletch-Tite™ fletching cement, a product so effective that since it's inception there has rarely been an archer who has not used it. In the early 70's Rollin Bohning semi-retired. Colby Johnson and his wife Martha became the chief administrators of the growing company. Colby and Martha guided the company throughout the 70's and most of the 80's during which time Bohning Fletch-Tite Vanes were first introduced. In 1987, Larry Griffith took the helm, this allowed Colby to move into semi-retirement. As President of The Bohning Company, Larry diversified the company into several areas in addition to archery. Bohning now has product lines in the Golf industry and Christmas Tree industry. This diversification has added to the overall growth and stability of The Bohning Company, Ltd.. The guiding philosophy at The Bohning Company remains the same as when Rollin first saw a problem and proceeded to develop a "quality" solution. Bohning is committed to developing and marketing only the highest quality solutions for the problems experienced by the industries we serve.
