Inshore Fishing Association Announces New College Saltwater Championship

IFA to partner with the Association of Collegiate Anglers on upcoming event
The Inshore Fishing Association (IFA) has joined with the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) to develop the first ever College Saltwater Championship. The inaugural event, which features a two-person team format, will take place Sunday, October 19, as part of the weeklong IFA Championship festivities taking place in Houma, Louisiana.
The Association of Collegiate Anglers, a division of CarecoTV and The Bass Federation, is a sanctioning body developed to facilitate growth, development, and structure within competitive collegiate bass fishing. The ACA provides support to dozens of regional events nationwide and owns the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series, the largest participatory collegiate tournament circuit in the country.

“We’re excited about the new College Saltwater Championship,” said IFA Marketing Director Bart Schad. “It’s going to be a great opportunity to reach up-and-coming tournament anglers and should be an amazing event. We’re looking forward to working with the ACA.”

- Mandatory Check-in: Saturday, Oct. 18, at 6:00 p.m. at Falgout Canal Marina located at 1868 Dr Beatrous Rd., Theriot, LA 70397.
- Takeoff & Weigh-in: Sunday, Oct. 19, at Falgout Canal Marina. Take-off at 6:30am with the weigh-in scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Anglers with questions should call 501-317-7281.
