HunterEdCourse.com Purchase Supports Anti-Poaching in Texas

HunterEdCourse.com, an official Texas Parks & Wildlife Department online hunter safety course provider announced today that they will donate $1 to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department’s Operation Game Thief (OGT) reward fund for every HunterEdCourse.com hunter safety course sold in Texas during the months of September and October 2014 (or a maximum of $250 per month).
The Operation Game Thief program was created to assist game wardens in Texas battle poaching. The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department program pays rewards to citizens who turn in poachers. The reward hotline is manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be reached by calling 1-800-792-GAME or by sending a text tip to 847411 and then start a message with TPWD” and report the following information
- the nature of the violation
- the location of the violation
- the name and/or description of the violator
- a description of any vehicle or boat involved in the violation
- any other important information which will assist in apprehending the violator
HunterEdCourse.com is instituting this program due to concern about the unlawful take of wildlife in Texas. Poaching harms the sport for the hunter who follows the legal and ethical guidelines as taught in the HunterEdCourse.com Texas online hunter education course.
