Lipsey’s “Aim Higher Together” Team Focuses on Giving Back

Lipsey’s, a nationally renowned firearms distributor, reflects on corporate giving, philanthropy, and community involvement that have long been core values essential to over sixty years of success within the organization.

Lipsey’s believes the importance of giving back to the community, including the local and national firearms “family” is more than a feel good effort. It’s necessary to promote important industry causes and show unified partner support. Youth programs, wildlife conservation, safety and awareness are just a few essential categories supported by Lipsey’s. When asked about the significance of getting involved and giving back, President & CEO Laurie Lipsey Aronson said, “I was taught from a very early age that you should always give back to your community. My grandparents and my parents both exemplified the act of charitable giving.”

In late September Lipsey’s team members were out in full force participating in the National Hunting and Fishing Day which encourages local area youth to participate in outdoor sporting activities.

Over the summer of 2014, Lipsey’s expert shooters placed second overall in the Shooting Industry Masters which benefits the First Shots Youth Program. Lipsey’s also spear-headed the Friends of the NRA Banquet which raises grant money for dozens of state wide programs. The My Istrouma Area Boy Scouts of America Sporting Clay Shoot/Auction on October 11th was also a marquee event raising money and resources benefiting local and regional Boy Scout troops which Lipsey’s supports actively.

Lipsey’s is also an avid supporter of charitable causes outside of the firearms industry including health and wellness. During Lipsey’s annual “March Madness” promotion, team members from all departments raise money in-house that is donated to the American Heart Association and Cancer Services. Also on October 11th, the Lipsey’s “Aim Higher Together” team participated in the Alzheimer’s Walk To Remember fundraiser, an event co-chaired by Richard and Susan Lipsey, raising money for local Alzheimer’s research.
