Introduced almost 20 years ago, the Ultimate Alaknak Tent is perfect for backcountry adventures. It has all the room of a traditional wall tent with extra-tall 4-foot walls for more headroom. This 12’x12’ model sleeps six. It features heavy-duty No. 10 YKK zippers and an inverted T-style door for easy access; the door is backed by a screen, so you can let in cool breezes and keep out bugs. Three large windows each have a zippered cover, a clear vinyl window that zips out of the way, plus a mesh screen for added ventilation. The floor has a zip-open panel for safe placement and stove use. Ultimate Alaknak tents are also available in 10’x10’, 12’x20’ and 13’x27’ models ($699.99; $1,199.99; $1,499.99). Note: 10’x10’ model is without stove jack.
