New Gear: 3 Can’t-Miss Apparel Picks from Nomad

For those of us in the hunting industry, January is “show season.” We just returned from the 2018 Archery Trade Association (ATA) Show, and this weekend we’ll be leaving for the 2018 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show.
Of course, one of our primary reasons for attending these industry-only shows is to see the latest-and-greatest gear, and then reporting our findings to you the consumer.
Case in point: We spotted a new line of hunting apparel from Nomad at the ATA Show, and it looks fantastic. We haven’t had the chance to test it in the field yet, but if company reputation is an indicator — and usually it is — the three tops discussed here should keep you comfortable in the treestand or ground blind no matter the conditions.
1. Cottonwood 1/2 Zip Jacket: The Cottonwood Series is designed to be the ultimate fleece hunting system. Bowhunters know that there is nothing on the planet more silent then Berber fleece, so Nomad took this silent killer and backed it with a windproof membrane to create an outstanding outer shell for silent sits. 2. Hailstorm Jacket: If you need waterproof protection, then check out the new Hailstorm Series (below). The 100 percent waterproof shell is also breathable and durable. It uses a three-layer, abrasion-resistant stretch shell fabric and has an anatomical fit. 3. Duo-Down Hoodie Vest: If you need an ultralight (7 ounces!), packable insulation layer, then look no further than the Duo-Down Hoodie Vest.
