Review – Wound Care Bucket by Refuge Medical

I received this Wound Care Bucket by Refuge Medical about a year or so ago. Maybe longer. Anyway, it is absolutely massive and I can’t imagine my life without it. It has everything you could ever need when it comes to first aid. It’s an entire 5-gallon bucket full of first aid supplies!
Refuge Medical has a solid reputation in the preparedness industry for being a brand that is involved with the community and they’re also made in America. They are experts in their field and prove that in every post and products they make. They produce the highest quality products possible so that we can be ready for any medical emergency we encounter.
I also have one of their trauma kits and was blown away by the quality and attention to that kit.
They are also HSA/FSA approved!
Getting back to the Wound Care Bucket, I haven’t really needed to use it. I use some basic first aid kits that we have around the house for general cuts and scrapes with the kids.
You don’t ever want to use it, but it’s an absolute life saver for when you need to use it.
The other day my daughter fell off her bike and scraped her knee something fierce. And in that moment of looking around my first aid kits and supplies, I realized a hole in my preps: I didn’t have any big bandages! Nothing that was big enough to cover
Sure, I had plenty of gauze and rolls and that kind of stuff, in fact, the Wound Care Bucket is FILLED with various sizes of gauze. But this situation didn’t really call for gauze.
However, the Wound Care Bucket also has various-sized bandages. Since I inspect my gear regularly, to know what I have and how/when I would use it, I knew that the Wound Care Bucket would have the large bandage that I would need.
It’s always easily accessible, so I grabbed it, opened it up, and immediately accessed the large bandage that I needed and secured it onto my daughter’s knee.

Take a close look at that list, I was most impressed with the entire bottle of peroxide and alcohol that it comes with. You normally just get alcohol pads, but these comes with entire bottles!

Honestly, I think all of the add-ons they offer would be useful, but those three add-ons I feel make the kit just stand out even more than it already does.
