Review – Women’s Elevate Hoodie for Outdoor Adventures

We’re outside a lot and while I don’t mind wearing sunscreen, I would like to avoid it as much as possible. Lately we’ve been doing a lot of fishing. Standing there in the sun as we fish demands clothing that can not only protect my from the sun, but be light enough not to cook me alive while I stand there in the sun.

In addition, I want something that will wick away water if I happen to get splashed by flopping fish, as well as keep me cool.

The Women’s Elevate Hoodie by Free Fly Apparel fits the bill when it comes to one of the most ideal pieces of clothing to wear in the outdoors.

It fits fairly well, it seems to want to cling to me for some reason, but it doesn’t really bother me. The hood is an extra touch that I just don’t see that often with any outdoor shirts. I do typically wear a hat when I’m outside, but what if I forget or don’t want to or whatever? The hood provides protection from the sun. The hood is on the larger side so it really goes well over your head, though it does tend to drape over the face, so this would be an excellent option to drape over a ballcap to give your neck extra protection.

It’s lightweight, almost as if I’m not wearing anything at all. Standing in the sun, I didn’t feel any warmer than I normally would standing there. The long sleeves provide 30+ UPF sun protection, a huge bonus!

It says it has fresh odor control and I suppose it does because I didn’t smell bad at all! Even after standing in the hot sun for hours. I was pleasantly surprised.

One of my favorite features of this shirt are the thumb holes! Yes! Finally. Thumb holes need to be a thing on every jacket and shirt. I love thumb holes.

Some of the reviews claimed that it was very short. As a short person, I felt it was way too long, actually. I would have liked it to be a little shorter, but I suppose it could be a little short on taller people. I don’t mind the length, as a short person I expect every shirt to be a little longer.

I also felt that the small that I received was a great fitting size. Not too small or too large. You don’t want this kind of shirt to be too tight to your skin, you want it a little loose for breathability and proper wicking.

I am pleasantly surprised to see that they also have a similar shirt for kids, as well as men. You can outfit the whole family for comfy outdoor adventures no matter where the road takes us!

For $88, this is going to be a durable and long-lasting outdoor shirt that can go with you on any adventure from fishing to hiking to camping to just hanging out outside with loved ones near the fire. Take a look at the Elevate Hoodie by Free Fly Apparel!
