Take This Portable Grill and Firepit on your Next Adventure!

I’m always looking for ways to make a fire, whether at home or on the go. Fire is an essential part of living, in my opinion. It keeps you warm, boils water and cooks food. Fire is pretty dang swell.

The UCO Flatpack Portable Grill and Firepit is one of the most ideal ways to have a fire at home or out on an outdoor adventure.

Let’s talk about some of the features of the Flatpack:

  • Folds flat and has its own carrying bag.
  • Very easy to put together with no tools required, just open and go!
  • Has a grill so you can cook food on it!
  • Made of stainless steel
  • Very stable, doesn’t wobble at all.
  • It’s even dishwasher safe!
  • The small weighs just two pounds
  • They have three sizes; small, medium and large.

I have the small size and honestly, I think it’s a perfect size for my family of 4. In general, I think it’s a perfect portable size. I can throw this in my bug out bag, slide it anywhere in an RV or vehicle. It can really fit just about anywhere because of how flat it packs down.

The Flatpack is designed in such a way that when you start a fire in it, nothing falls through the bottom, which is ideal for outdoor use so it’s completely contained within this setup. Of course, there’s still cleanup and you’ll have to ensure your fire is out and all that good stuff, but there’s no mess coming out of the bottom.

We decided to make some s’mores! It makes the perfect little fire and uses twigs and sticks you find around the forest floor. Very easy to use and very efficient. You could build a pretty good sized fire in this to keep your hands warm and just have some ambient light. The much larger version would of course have a larger fire.

It also comes with a grill that sits nicely on top. Without the grill, the sides can bow in a little bit, but it doesn’t hinder the overall process and you can still use the firepit without the grill top. It doesn’t fold in without the grill top, the grill top just flattens it out even more. I actually used the grill top as a little table for placing our s’mores ingredients on.

The legs have a little bit of padding on them which I feel makes it less likely to slip on whatever surface you’re putting it on. The way the legs fold out, ensures that it’s not going to collapse in anyway. I felt that it was sturdy and secure at all times.

Before packing it away, you’ll want to ensure it has completely cooled down. It doesn’t take long to cool but it’s not advisable to place it back in the canvas case until it has completely cooled.

This really is the ultimate way to have a contained and safe fire for cooking or just enjoying the glow and warmth of a fire with loved ones.

For $39.99, you should really go check out the Portable Flatpack by UCO!
