Groundhog Bites Wisconsin Mayor’s Face During Ceremony

Sun Prairie, Wisconsin has its own Groundhog Day celebration, but apparently their groundhog is not quite as friendly as Punxsutawney Phil. Jimmy, the official groundhog of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin bit the mayor’s ear during a a live broadcast of their event. The groundhog’s handler was holding the animal next to Mayor Jonathan Freund’s face when it suddenly bit the Mayor’s ear. It goes without saying that you should not handle wild animals without proper training so let this serve as an example for everyone. Enjoy the vine and video below.
