  1. Since I can’t outrun an Elk I am sure as heck not going to try to out run a grizzly. The circle of life is beautiful and brutal all at the same time.

  2. Never RUN from a bear. Years ago a cub came under my tree stand. It sensed me but didn’t look up until I spoke. I have never seen any animal run that fast an agile. There were tree tops & old beams lying about from the logging along that steep ridge. That little bear went uphill & over them like they weren’t even there. If that would have been a big mama bear that wanted me it would have been over in seconds. So yelling & waving your hands is all you have if not armed. They’ll be no escape unless you can find a cliff to jump off of.

  3. The grizzly is a keystones predictor, at the top and is a very efficient killer. Life in the wild is brutal at times, the health of predictor and prey is dependent upon this cycle of life and death. The grizzly lives because of the death of the elk. The elk herd is healthy as the predictors cull the sick, weak and Young.
