Gerald Swindle, one of the top qualifiers in the 2012 Bassmaster Classic, almost never made it to the public eye of the professional bass fishing world. He wanted to be a stand-up comedian. Now, he is competing in his 12th Bassmaster championship and holds numerous awards and prize earnings in bass fishing. He’s moving up the ladder, having taken fifth place at Bassmaster in 2001, then third place in 2005; he’ll definitely be one to watch out for at 2012’s tournament.
In the following video, Swindle, also known as “G-man” and “The Warrior”, talks about his humble childhood and beginnings in the world of tournament-competition fishing. If you’re looking to get into the world of professional sport fishing, take a look to see how Swindle did it.
