Behind the Scenes of One of the World’s Most Extreme Sport Stunts

How many Red Bull athletes does it take to construct a winched zip-line to paraglide down 5,000 feet? Four, apparently. Not to mention more than three years of day dreaming and planning. Chris Santacroce wanted to glide down the longest zip-line in the world, one rising 5,000 feet in the air, pulled by a truck fixed with a winch system. It is held taut by a paraglider on the other end.

Watch the short behind-the-scenes video made by Red Bull to see what it takes to perform these types of extreme sports. Witness the location scouting, equipment set-up and testing (so nobody dies) and of course everything in-between unrelated to the stunt.
