The last time YouTube’s Taofledermaus played with these custom .70 caliber “rifled” slugs, they seemed like they could do a bit of damage. This time around, Tao had the aid of some ballistic gel to get a better picture of what this unique-looking slug can do. The aluminum slug was manufactured by Tim Hamilton, a prototype machinist who likes missing around with experimental designs. He designed the turbine-like slugs for Taofledermaus to see if their unique shape might affect accuracy.

For the most part, they don’t. They do, however, produce some impressive looking cavities in the ballistic gel.
