Video: You Won’t Believe Where This Alpine Ibex Calls ‘Home’

So, you like homes with a view you say? Well, check out the view this alpine ibex has from his spot on the mountain. If you think you’re daily commute is stressful, you need to see what these animals deal with on a daily basis.

Life in the mountains has its perks, but it also comes with a significant amount of hard work and daily struggle. At first, you might see this wild goat getting comfortable and think, “struggle? seriously?” but just you wait..

In order to show the full scale of what this ibex has accomplished, the camera zooms way out revealing a massive rock face, and an optical illusion that will leave you picking your jaw up off the floor.

Nice crib, Mr. Ibex!

There’s no indication where this video was shot, but ibex are commonly found in the European Alps – think Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Ibex were also introduced to parts of Bulgaria and Slovenia.

The only thing I’m left wondering about after seeing this video, is who would win in a climbing contest? An ibex, or Alex Honnold, the free solo climber who conquered El Capitan?
