Federal’s new High Over All (HOA) Shotshells are the rounds you want when the competition is on the line. This new lineup of competition-focused ammunition is meant to give trap, skeet, and sporting clay competitors the best of what Federal has to offer when it comes to accurate, reliable, and consistent competition shotshells. The new HOA shotshells boast more consistent patterns and even better reloading characteristics for shooters who like to take their shells and reprocess them to their exact specifications. The new shotshells are set to make their official debut at an upcoming competition at the end of August featuring top shooters from across the nation.

We are excited to build on the great momentum of this new product line. Competition shooters have been asking for a new competition load from Federal—and we’ve delivered with the best ever. Top shoots across the country have been buzzing about our new HOA product and we look forward to rolling it out over the next months leading up to the National Sporting Clays Tournament in Texas.

The new loads will be showcased at the Minnesota HOA State Champion Shoot which is to be held at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club in Prior Lake, Minnesota at the end of August. During this event, several of Federal’s engineers, shooters, ambassadors, and competitors will be present to test out the new loads in a competitive environment. In total there will be 16 12-gauge offerings of 2 3/4-inch shells with more sub-gauge offerings to follow in 2022 as the product line continues to be developed and expanded. At the time of writing, there are currently 13 different offerings on Federal’s website which include .410 bore, 28-gauge, and 20 gauge offerings in addition to the standard 12-gauge offerings.
